August 2026
Another month wrapped up and the summer is ending. August has been a rainy month in the Mexican Pacific but a little bit calm. The number of earthquakes that have occurred really caught my attention.
This month has been good for me. I took some vacation days at the beach with my family. I’ve broken my home routine and I went out for concerts, shows, and cinema. It’s been varied.
I developed a new app for Android + Chrome extension to track the music I listen to on YouTube Music. This small project has helped me to use Supabase for the very first time.
In work terms, I’ve dedicated much time to AI courses (around 15 mandatory courses) from Google and Anthropic companies. This new business model demands that we incorporate AI into our daily duties. My contract with Disney will end in September, so I will be looking for a new project.
Blog
I’m really suffering from a mental block and I haven’t created many posts. At least the #100pics challenge is still active, and I’ve uploaded some old photos.
On the other hand, I added new pages such as /statistics, /books and the previously mentioned /100pics-2026.
I think that I’ve reached a point where I feel satisfied with the current state of this blog. Now I only need to create content.
Music
Based on my new app, my top 5 artists are:
- Spiritbox
- Motionless in White
- Caskets
- Bad Omens
- Five Finger Death Punch
And my top 5 songs:
- Drowned In Emotion – Caskets
- Afraid Of The Dark – Motionless in White
- The Summit – Spiritbox
- Secret Garden – Spiritbox
- Another Life – Motionless in White
Movies and shows
This month I’ve been feeling like watching Ghibli studio movies, and I love them. Besides, I watched other recent ones in theaters. I didn’t watch shows this month.
Books
Finally I’ve recovered my reading habit. As I mentioned before, /books contains my reading tracker.
Videogames
I downloaded Steam, and I found some really good games to have a chill time. This month I only played a couple of them. I have a collection in /videogames where my gamer history is.
Sports
I’m almost out of volleyball: the team where I played was expelled from the tournament due to improper lineups and lately I have focused more on playing football.
The English Premier League has come back. I hope this season will be very good for my red devils.
Web
Looking at other people and blogs, I found some interesting and useful links:
- Learn Git Branching – Learn to use git branches through visual interaction.
- Fish Audio – You can manipulate audio through AI allowing you to convert text to voice, and you can record your own voice and use it.
- Reading Maps – An interactive map that shows the places mentioned in some books such as The Odyssey by Homer or The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
